my story.
the spark
what got me into all 'this'?
have a look at some fan edits that i made at 13 - 14!
I've always been one for the arts; but never truly design. It all started with a Marvel, Harry Potter, and Star Wars phase paired with a bootleg version of After Effects at the ripe age of 12.
I explored various After Effects plugins and experimented with its fun 3D features, learning everything through YouTube tutorials and driven by pure youthful passion!
What began as simple fandom edits to express my love and devotion quickly spiraled into a full-blow design obsession. I still remember spending countless hours in my schools' library, pondering over every course from each of the 5 polytechnics that offered even the slightest bit of design — painstakingly comparing each one, determined to find the perfect design path for me
the evolution
how curiosity turned into a craft.
me when i first joined SP! young & learning.
It wasn't until I joined Singapore Polytechnic to study Visual Communications and Motion Design that everything started to click.
I was introduced to design beyond the surface — the thinking, the history, and the craft. That's also where I met Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and the broader design universe… and yep, I fell in love all over again.
At Singapore Polytechnic, specifically MAD(Media, Arts, and Design), I made so many amazing connections — people who’ve inspired me and who I know I’ll stay close with even after school! It was where I really learned how to work with all kinds of personalities, take the lead when it mattered, and grow through creative teamwork. From late-night project grinds to spontaneous brainstorms, it was a space that pushed me to step up and have fun doing it!
what i love
what makes me light up! (and lose all my sleep)
me doing what i love!
These days, I’m a visual creative totally obsessed with making playful, purposeful work — from quirky brand identities to scroll-stopping visuals that actually make you pause. If it’s bold, clever, and tells a story? I’m all in.
I didn’t always know this was my thing. It wasn’t until I dove into the world of UX and communications that it clicked — design wasn’t just about looking good. It was about saying something. A vibe, a message, a moment that sticks.
I've been lucky enough to have taken an elective that let me explore a bit into UX, and that was when I found out I truly had a knack for it! I was able to lead my group in this project and earn us a distinction!
I often feel that I… well, feel a lot — which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I like to think it gives me deeper insight into what anyone might be feeling, opening up bigger, broader perspectives on certain topics and how different people might react to them, whether positively or negatively.
It’s a trait that, by society standards, I should hide — but honestly, I want to embrace it. Feeling too much doesn’t make you weak; it gives you out-of-this-world ways of seeing things. And as a communications student, that’s a superpower I’m learning to own!
Now I design to feel, not just to function. Because let’s be real — good design works, but great design makes you feel something. And that’s the sweet spot I live for!
the human side
the person behind all this!
just me, in the flesh!
I’m still figuring things out, still evolving — and still designing like I mean it. To me, great design should feel, not just function. Whether I’m rewatching a comfort movie or sketching half-baked ideas at 2 a.m., I live for those messy, in-between sparks.
Aside from just design, I’ve been lucky enough to receive some once-in-a-lifetime opportunities through my school. I was chosen not only as one of the faces of Media, Arts & Design, but also as the representative for my specialisation — Visual Communications and Motion Design!
It was honestly a weird, almost eerie feeling seeing my face plastered all over the school’s website and walls. Walking to class and spotting my big ol’ face on a banner hanging at the entrance of MAD? A little embarrassing… but also something I’m secretly (okay… not-so-secretly) proud of!
Personality-wise, I’d say I’m just a little bit ‘bipolar’. Always unsure, yet somehow so sure. I know what I want, but other people’s opinions? They definitely sway me just a bit. Still — once I’m set on something, I’m set. No turning back!
what's next?
honestly? let's find out together!
stuff i love!
Right now, I’m diving into the messy middle of motion, storytelling, and branding — chasing ideas that play, poke, or just make someone grin. I’m all about making things that feel alive (and maybe a little unhinged).
Always down for bold ideas, weird detours, and a bit of beautiful chaos. Let’s make something cool — or at least something that makes us feel!
